With a housing that screams vintage, and a name that references Seinfeld, Australia’s own Bondi Effects have created a very quirky little delay pedal. The Art Van Delay tips its hat to the likes of Boss and Ibanez, not just visually, but also in its rich analogue delay settings that sound like they’re straight from the late ’70s.

Bondi Effect’s very retro Art Van Delay is a digitally controlled, analogue device that looks like it’s straight from the 1970s.

The Art Van Delay’s all analogue circuit offers up to 1200 milliseconds of delay time, but despite its vintage vibe, the unit packs in a lot of modern features.

Bondi Effects have included a very useable tap tempo function, adjustable via the ‘Tap’ footswitch, and three selectable subdivision settings – dotted 1/8, 1/8 and 1/4 notes. Holding down the ‘Tap’ switch unleashes a roar of feedback, which can be tuned with an external expression footswitch allowing you to carve walls of noise.

The Art Van Delay can hold 2 presets onboard, which can be expanded to 32 and customised with the use of the unit’s MIDI outputs. An added USB port allows the stompbox’s firmware to be seamlessly updated with Mac or Windows.
